What this site is

CrosswordsWithFriendsAnswers.com is a free, independent reference site for the Crosswords With Friends mobile crossword game by Zynga. We index every daily puzzle as it's released — every clue, every answer, every date — so when you're stuck on a clue you can come here and find the solution in seconds.

Every page on this site is built around three principles:

• Free. No signup, no paywall, no “unlock” gimmicks. Every answer is one tap away.
• Fast. No popups, no autoplay video, no intro screens between you and the answer.
• Complete. Every clue links to its own answer page with letter count, history of past appearances, and cross-references to clues with the same answer.

How we organize the puzzles

For every daily puzzle we publish three layers of pages:

• Date pages — e.g. May 15, 2026 answers. Lists every clue from that day's puzzle in order, with letter counts.
• Clue pages — every individual clue has its own page with the verified answer, the date it first appeared, related clues from the same puzzle, every other date the clue has appeared, and other clues that resolve to the same answer.
• The archive — every indexed date grouped by year and month with quick scroll-jump navigation.

About the game itself

Crosswords With Friends is a daily American-style crossword from Zynga, launched in 2017 as part of the With Friends franchise (alongside Words With Friends). It's available free on iOS and Android, with a fresh themed grid every day. The puzzles are seven-themed-clue grids that ramp in difficulty across the week — Monday is the gentlest start, Friday and Saturday hit hardest, and Sunday brings the larger themed grid in the classic American style.

The app's signature feature is the social aspect: you can race friends to a solve time, share streaks, and climb leaderboards on each day's puzzle. We don't compete with the game — we exist for the moments when a clue just won't budge.

Where the answers come from

We verify every answer against the published puzzle. Our index is updated daily as new puzzles go live in the Zynga app, and we backfill historical puzzles when source records are available. If you ever see an answer that doesn't match what your puzzle shows, double-check the date at the top of the page — Crosswords With Friends occasionally runs slightly different puzzles across regions or rolling updates. If you've matched the date and the answer is still off, please reach out and we'll re-verify within hours.
